Installed a Walsall Wheels steering wheel. Took a week of sanding, varnishing and polishing to restore it to its former glory. Worth the effort. Also received the restored Britax rear seat belts from Denis Williams and fitted them - did a great job.

The steering wheel looks brilliant. It must feel a bit different from the standard one.
Also like the S-W speedo!

Thanks Bill. Deliberated for a while about whether to switch out the original wheel. No regrets as the new wheel looks great and makes for a much nicer drive

this was last week...

but went and visited him and Wayne at MWA!

Might or might not make Rylstone... but have a back up rally car anyways!

On another note, how does one put a woodruff key back into a crank?

Are they Holden belts?

The buckles look the same as the ones fitted to early HQ but they had the Holden emblem, these would probably be generic accessory belts sold by parts stores.

I remember when the most common use for these belts was using the tongue as a bottle opener.

Bought them on eBay. Came from back seat of a Holden, EH from memory with Britax, not Holden stickers. So, assume it was an after market fitting that could conceivably be fitted to a Mini of 1970 vintage such as mine. Denis Williams suggested it was correct for that time period. Webbing was picked to match those on the front belts.

Nice fabrications for sure. Have you left the standard fan in place, or removed it?

It will only have the thermo fan. The shroud can still be fitted if needed, but I will leave it off and see how it goes.

Said I’d never do it again, but I went and brought another supercharger setup.
I must be sick in the head

Just a quick oil change, filter and a bit of cleanup of the engine bay.
