Changed the oil and filter, modded the bonnet hook to clear the oil cooler, modded the bonnet latch to clear the airfilters and made an adjustable oil pressure relief now runs 65 psi cold and 55 psi hot idle. Found I have oil being blown out the dipstick but not sure what to do with that just yet, hopefully after a few hundred k's it settles down as it's only a fresh engine.

PCV been serviced? "Rubber hose" going to PCV/Inlet not collapsing? Maybe need a catch tank if you are doing those sort of REVs...

new pcv from auto part shop, so it's not old yet. I'm thinking catch an maybe. Had a new experience on the way home from work, got stuck in 4th, rolled to a halt to see whats up .....the rear roll pin fell out of the gearshift ... new one fitted and wire tied so it shouldn't happen again. One of the joys of owning a daily driven mini :)

At least you have to sort out the issues straight away, some of us would leave in the garage for a few weeks first!

Replaced the felt bush in the bottom of the steering column.
Adjusted the trafficator lever to cancel properly while I was at it.

Fitted some genuine ripspeed hi lows no more rubbing on the rear. Stiffened the car up to. Handling much better as well. Need to let it settle and will lower a little more.

Haha, and I thought I was in trouble for getting my car ready for Minifest!

All things going to plan I should have mine registered before the end of October!
