Well, I'm not going to spend time chasing my tail with another car.

The post mortem is that to get the engine to a decent spec it will be best to get a new block and some new pistons and build a new 1310 motor.

I'm off to do something else so I'm just going to strip the car and sell off the bits.

Just wondering if someone would be kind enough to take the time and give me a rough idea (and answer associated questions) on what the following would be worth. There are a couple of items that may only be worth a couple of dollars at best but it will all add up.

Disk Brake front end.
Should I sell drive shafts with this or leave them with LSD (Cooper S drive shafts)

45mm Webber carby and Manifold. Excellent condition

Extractors - Old

Wheels 12" -Brand new PERFORMANCE WHEELS with new tyres done probably 50km

Wheels 10" GB minilites old with old A008 tyres

Right hand tank

Cone type LSD with Coopers S output shafts
Should I remove output shafts and sell with disk brake front end? or sell drive shafts and output shafts seperatly?

Cooper S gearbox, recently reconditioned.
Should I leave LSD on this gearbox and sell as one? Pinion and crown wheel are matched.

Lightened flywhee

Brand new clutch

Lightened Crank

Worked race head (you will need to check compression ratio before installing) with 1.3:1 offset rockers. Should I seperate ot keep together?

Red Cobra Trophy racing seat with subframe

Oil Cooler, as new (done about 50km) with all associated attachments

Ancillary radiator with bracket, attachements and all required hoses.

Shell with 6 months rego. With all the bits left.

This leaves me with a MkII cooper S block bored out to 1380 cc. Worth anything

Thanks

oz,, really sorry to see this happen mate,, thought you would be sweet with that car for a few runs and track days.

You still going to stay in the mini game? You could always just chuck it all on ebay and see how you go.

I think the brakes should be sold from the cv joint out,, so keep shafts with the box. should get $1000+ for brake setup

weber $400?

extractors what ever you can get,, im actually in the market for some :)

wheels,, take a couple of hundred of new price?

minilights around $400

right hand tank $300+

thats about all i can help you on i think.

chris

1. did you sell a green and yellow racer a while ago?
2. did you sell it for good money (wanted $10K, hey)

which leads to

3. would you get more money out of selling Pu55y as a whole car?

Dont feel sad for me, I should be able to get back nearly all my cash.

I'll wait till I have all my $$$ then make a firm decission on what to do.

Regarding me old race mini I think I ended up getting about $7,500 for it.

I think I will get more for the car by stripping it.

The idea I have for the shell is to sell it with rego and the PU55Y plates. You cant sell those plates or transfer them to someone not a family member but you can sell a car with them on (as long as it is registered) and then you own the plates when you transfer ownership of the car.

Our red Clubbie is too new- late '78, it's easier to put a 1275 in with no Q's if it's an earlier one. Avoid ADR27A, airpumps BS, etc..

Chris, Gary showed me the damage today, not nice at all. How much for the gearbox? I can't ring you for a few days as I am having an operation tomorrow. PM me with a price for the box and also the conrods. I definitly need a set of those. The oil cooler is most probably unusable as it would have had debris through it.

I dont know whe the "Damage was done" as the oil was clean.

It's all going on ebay, just want to get an idea of what I should expect for each bit and what bits to leave with what bits.
