Ok a bit more detail.

When John got the car, it was kinda fine... the usual mini leak from the seals.
He filled it up WAY too high with oil, and it spewed out the dipstick.
So a mechanic opened up the breather at the back of the block.
Now it vomits oil out of the breather hole (abotu a 1.5mm slit) instead of the dipstick hole.
This is continuing to do it, even when the oil level is at the Normal mark, and even when it is right down too.

There is evidence of a blown headgasket, as there is some yellow sludge forming underneath the rocker cover cap.

Any advice to this poor sod would be helpful.

Thanks.
Big willy on behalf of John.

Unless the oil is changing colour ie; white or yellow, the oil in the rocker cover is just condensation (spelling not one of my good points) nothing to much to worry about.
As for the oil blowing out the dipstick and breather means that the rings are stuffed and will need a rebuild
Cheers Pete
