Oh well,

Er they were NOT that big..

I had 5 of them.. :P
D1 bantam = 125cc
D3 bantam = 150cc
D5? bantam = 175cc.
Army never had these, they were 2 stroke single cylinder. They were based on a design that the allies got from the Germans after WW2.
Harley in the US also got the design and built squillions of 125s. 8)

<edit> Last one I had I restored, cost me 150 quid (pounds) to do it. I could have bought a new one for 132 quid back then..

Yep, BSA made 'em, you could have any colour as long as it was olive green (actually I reckon it was closer to Almond Green).
Sides of tank were cream.
I had a `bush basher' one I painted gloss black, it was real early frame (no rear suspension) 1951 or `52 I think.

Believe it or not, you'd need another 13 years of that list to get to mine !

1963... C15 .... Looks heaps older....
I'd prefer a Sloper or Rigid, but I'd settle for an A65 Lightning !

My mate had an A10 Gold Flash (650cc)- we stripped it and put it in a big kart frame. F**k... it went hard.. :P
