OK, now Mini-Ha-Ha is a goer I'm bunging a pair of HS4s on Barney's 1293. He already has a 270* cam, headwork & Toyota rockers.

These HS4 carbs have CP4 needles in 'em, (off a 1380) they look bloody rich to me..

Based on the dyno day I think I need something like no 6..

Anybody got an SU needle chart handy? Will WinSU program work with Win XP?

Looked on SU Midel's site, boy, it is useless! At least their old site worked...

CP4 starts off leaner than a 6 then is darn close for a while then gets richer up the top end but not what I'd call a lot.

I have just got myself a BCE which I have hopes for. Starts out a bit richer than the CP4 then leans off by comparison at the top end.

Thanks Smithy- I'll try the CP4s first.
Carbs have Ramflo filters on them. Springs look like they may be blue ones.. hard to tell after a zillion years.

WinSU works with XP.

Maybe you have to download the latest version.

Thought I would semi-hikack this thread because the people in the know are all here.

Mo has been running super rich, so I gave his carbie a screw upwards to lean him up, now he is running way too lean and is going like SH#THOUSE. I have read about 100 pages of carbie stuff this afternoon and cant get an idiots proof guide to knowing when its too rich, too lean or just right....

Any advice...

Also did someone mention not too recently a place at Burwood with a good reputation for carburettor servicing..?? You know just in case
