My concern with the mini motor is/was the ongoing capacity to source parts. Sure you can source them but you are going to run out of limbs/organs to sell eventually.

The only reason for me not doing the starlert conversion was i'm not a fan of the clubmans and I don't think the GT motor will get into a standard front morris. I knew the gti had been done before so I went with that. The hardest part was finding someone to build the frame, after that, it's easy. You never know how many dry Weet Bix you can chew until you shove a whole heap into your mouth right? Sink or swim.....

I simply did up a pros and cons. Sounds porno but enless you take all these points of view and interperet them for yourself as positive or negative than you won't be any closer to making a decision.

Before you go and do anything, drive a front wheel drive with LOTS of power. Don't be offended A series people but I don't consider 80/90 hp atw to be lots. It's a scary feeling coming through a corner and the car going straight when you get up it. And it takes some skill to drive it. RWD cars tend to sort themselves out if you stay on the gas. Not so with a FWD.

If you have a clubman, DO the starlet conversion. If you don't back your capacity to see the project through, follow Kazjims lead. It's fairly encouraging to see that much power from a 998.

Stick with the A/A+, IMO.
