Can someone tell me why I keep getting this-

"The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please try the following:

Click the Refresh button, or try again later.

If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

To check your connection settings, click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Connections tab, click Settings. The settings should match those provided by your local area network (LAN) administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).
See if your Internet connection settings are being detected. You can set Microsoft Windows to examine your network and automatically discover network connection settings (if your network administrator has enabled this setting).
Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options.
On the Connections tab, click LAN Settings.
Select Automatically detect settings, and then click OK.
Some sites require 128-bit connection security. Click the Help menu and then click About Internet Explorer to determine what strength security you have installed.
If you are trying to reach a secure site, make sure your Security settings can support it. Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section and check settings for SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0, PCT 1.0.
Click the Back button to try another link.

Cannot find server or DNS Error
Internet Explorer "

is the server out of petrol, (or steam, lol) or what?

Anyhow I'm getting sick of it, especially when you go to post something, then it crashes and burns.. :x

i Think it may be your computer as i have been on and off here all day and have had no problems at all. Using both MAC and PC systems. You may want to check
a. your net connection (goto the service providers system check page)
b. update your browser
c. buy a MAC

Cheers

Aaron

Hi Doc - this one is common and usually means the web server is down -

Easy test to see if it is, just try a completely different website - if you can pull that in OK then it ispretty cirtain the one that wll not respond is down - not your problem and nothing you can do at your end to get it working again.

If on the other hand you can't get a different web site up, then the problem may well be at your end and this is when you would start tracing your connection problem Think of it as a Lucas fault, call your ISP

are you sucking down too many kb's with your puter, while browsing websites? maybe your AV is bringing down a big update, or you have something running in the background that is downloading.....too much traffic will cause webpages to 'stall'....and throw up that message.

Nothing else running. And, it's only this site, and only since Poeee `updated' it recently.
Don't think I have any nasties, ZoneAlarm AV is up to date and reports nothing funny. I'm scanning all drives with Stinger at the moment to be sure, to be sure.. 8)

You should download Ad Aware

http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045 ... tag=button

Scan frequently and update just as frequently. It's not industrial strength but will get rid of most net nasties.

Could be ZoneAlarm, try disabling it and refreshing the page..try CTRL+F5 to force a refresh from the server. If the page works after that, try adding Ausmini.com in the allowed list as follows..

1. Open ZoneAlarm Pro, and click 'Privacy.'
2. Click 'Site List,' and then click 'Add.'
3. Enter 'www.ausmini.com'
4. Click the plus sign (+) under '3rd Party Cookie Control' for 'www.ausminit.com.'
5. Set the cookie control to 'Allowed.'
6. Clear your browser’s cache*, and log in to Ausmini.

*To clear your cache in Internet Explorer:

1. Log out of your Gmail account, and close all other open browser windows.
2. Click the 'Tools' menu at the top of your browser, and select 'Internet Options.'
3. Click the 'General' tab at the top of the dialogue box.
4. Click 'Delete Files' under 'Temporary Internet files.'
5. Select 'Delete all offline content' by checking the box.
6. Click 'OK.'

I would also try and access the site from FIREFOX and see if there is a difference ;)

No need to upgrade your comp..it should do the job fine.
