I'm learning heaps here. Still a bit sketchy on some of the terms but I think i get the idea.

And no comments on my ' wobbly gearstick' I'm almost a bit disappointed

i`m not too sure, but i doubt there`s anything wrong with a wobbly stick,,, as the girls would say--> "it`s how you use it" :-)

Hey guys, just found this thread - was led here by watching a vid on youtube and doing a bit of searching resulting in coming here. WOW, did not realise there was such a conversion as this. Now, it's been a few years - can anyone offer anymore on these conversions? David R - did you have some success with your endeavours? Was quite interested to read about peoples thoughts about driving (road) with these boxes. I'd tend to agree with the comments about how dog boxes perform well in a race situ but not so flash in a road car. But there does seem to be alot of bike engine and therefore bike dog box, coversions on offer with little comment on there non road driveability.
Are these bike engined minis as rough through the gears as comments in this thread would suggest, OR is there a good chance these dog box converted boxes could work? I understand David's comments about the clutch action of the bike set up vs. the mini clutch, so initial drive engagement would result in quite a crunch/catch. Most bike engined min's of you tube seem to change ok when of the shift......
Cheers
Glenn

That's a pity. I haven't seen anyone else on here post anything about a project 6 speed so I guess i'll just have to stick to 5...

Slight thread hi-jack, but it's an old thread so I figure it's fair game: what ever happened to the modification to make a standard box into a sequential shift that was being teased on here a while back?
