Don't think I would be wanting to pay that much with no discs either. It's not as though everything else is OK.

Rust doesn't look good.

I'd offer him the value of the motor alone, no discs = unroadworthy and the rust looks like it's pretty established, no way in hell will he ever get $7k for it

yeah, looking at those pics I'd stay well away too - IMHO if the bodywork was done properly before painting, they would have done the boot and engine bay. It'd end up a world of trouble

I reckon the interior looks aweful too, but that's just personal taste

wait for the NSW boys to freak out about the lack of disk brakes too :P

Of course you need discs to stop a 1275.. bigblocks are heavier than smallblocks, takes more braking to stop 'em..

ohhh, so that's why - that 1/4 of an inch on the top of the block must weigh heaps then - depleted uranium?

It hasnt got squat to do with the weight of the block. If you alter the engine from standard capacity to one of the larger capacity offered by a particular make then by law you have to alter the brakes to remain in line with the setup to suit that particular engine combination. The weight difference is insignificant. Kind of like me not taking a dump in the morning before taking the vehicle for RWC. G.
