honestly it varies. if you want something urgently on a saturday then you can't go to karcraft because they are closed, you have to try the others because at least they are open.

what you have to do is ring around for any particualr item you want, compare prices and availaibility and make a choice.

karcraft are the importers of a lot of stuff, so their retail prices are often lower, but then some of the others import stuff directly themselves.

shop around ...... :?

Karcraft are the importers of most stuff into Australia, most mini places buy of them, so buy going direct to Karcraft you are cutting out the middle man, no middle man means cheaper prices.

Doogie

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.

Yea Ivan is meticulous and is anal when building g'boxes - which is wxactly what you want in such cases, plus he's a great guy. Though its not really a spares retailer, mostly a mechanical workshop.

Only problem with that is if you appreciate having a local Mini Supplier that you can drop into and be assured they will have parts or get parts in for you quick smart....

often times these places also stock other niceties like technical advice, knowledge of local repairers, after market accessories, books, oil, additives etc

It ain't always the bottom line.....

isnt this one of those subjects you have to be very carefull about answering (if you wish to avoid legal dramas)... sorry mate IMO thats one you should ask in private..

Its only where slandering or libel (i think its called that...its writing "rude" things) is involved that things can get you into trouble....there is a difference between that and an opinion.

Wrong mate!...if you impune somebody or some company's "good" name you can be in trouble if they take offence and want to pursue the matter....it can be said in the nicest possible way.

BTW The existing Padstow company (Mini Spares of Australia?? sumpin like that) bought out Mini Kingdom (formerly opp Bankstown Airport) years ago.

I probably said what I was trying to say wrong.....You can provide an opinion providing that it does not damage a reputation....

BUT for example.

If you said.."I wouldnt go to them cause "insert name" are crap" is very different to, "From personal experience I have prefered the service of (insert name) over (Insert name)" is hardly slander, libel or anything of the sort...that is not damaging a reputation it is simply offering a view of personal experience

If i said something like that and the company got pissed off at it, they can come and sue me for all their worth cause I know I'll win. There is a distinct difference between opinion and damage of reputation and like all things, depends in what context it's used and how it is delivered.

If it wasn't so, every tom, dick and harry would be sued every day
