I'm interested in aftermarket seats that are a bit more figure hugging - but most seem to focus on the front seats and remove all the leg room in the back. I for one still take passengers every now and then - how do these options compare for back-seat passengers? Those GTI seats look pretty nice!

have got the dimensions back from Autotecnica (Tony there has been very helpful) see attached.
I will re-measure again tonight but from the dimensions attached it looks like they will fit.
I only have a PDF of the seat and dimensions so it won't load - I will work out something so the dimensions can be shown.
Next step is to work out the best way to attach to the car, I have asked for more detail of their base and adaptor.

Dennis

PS the swift seats and the autotecnica seats look very similar - no huge wings but a bit of shape.

Oh as a side point, Cobra make a seat mount/frame for the classic mini... not sure if they'd be any use but might be an option?

Thanks Hanra, just had a look at the Sparco website and it has a seat size chart. Which one do you have?
It appears from the chart, that most of the sparco seats are wider at the shoulder than in the squab.
The seats I am looking at are wider in the squab than the shoulder (according to the dimensions given to me by the guys at Autotecnica) and will fit everywhere else - can you tell what the width of your squab is?
Thanks for the help.

Dennis

Sparco Sprint

I'll be selling my Mini specific Cobra Subrames which were modified to fit a Sparco. So if you do go the Sparco route these will come in very handy for you.

I'm in the process of putting in a set of Suzuki Swift GTI bucket seats, they're pretty comfortable I reckon and fit perfect, heaps of room left to sit side by side with a bigger size mate.

look at the 2nd photo, you can see the swift rail bolted to the crossmember, and sitting on a block at the back
