Hi guys and girls.
Im Jill from WA and Im rebuilding my Mini from way back.
I bought it as a 78 Leyland van 998cc when it was 6 months old.. its been garaged for the best part of 10 years but not any more.
Its now a 1275 bored out to a 1300, 7/8 race cam, extractors and webber.
Ive just located front disk brakes and 12" hubs complete. I'll be after a roll cage and racing seats as I'll be using it as a hillclimber/2nd streetcar.

I look forward to hearing all about your Minis :)

Jill

gday jill
its nice to see a lady here on the site, from my knowledge, theres also Pommie Sheila and Rose
and even better, one who's quite knowledgable, if she's had the mini since 6months old.
hope to tap into your head soon

Hi,

I'm Brett Nicholson (bnicho) from Melbourne.

I'm here cos "poeee" stuck a note on my van at Geelong Swap meet a few weeks ago. 8)

I'm also a member of a few other Mini and Moke net based groups, and the Victorian Mini Club Inc.

My Mini addiction started with multiple viewings of the Italian Job (the REAL one) followed by a 1968 Mini Deluxe just after my 16th birthday. Since then I cannot get away from them!

I currently have a Mini K Van with modified 1098 engine which I restored a few years ago and is my daily driver, a Moke with 1275 A+ Auto which should be on the road by Christmas, and my dream car - a Mini Traveller! At the current rate of progress the traveller should be finished sometime around retirement age. (I'm 29!)

Cheers,

I just checked Gordie and it is a DHLA 40 Delorto and it splits at the bottom and bolts on to the inlet manifold.

dont worry Mick, we all get mixed up sometimes with all these forums goin on these days... we get heaps of random comments (and pictures) from Pommie Sheila... she's actually addicted to plastic fumes and accidentally came across this site hahaha

Hi all,

My name is Chong in Sydney and have been driving a commodore all my life until I came upon my 1968 red with white roof beauty, she's 36yrs old, 600 odd kilos, sharp as a tack and doesn't talk back

I am slowly working on turning her into stock outside, performance inside car to drive on Sundays (as I still have my commodore for all other purposes  ). I hope to mind meld with you boys and get enough knowledge to turn her into the car of my dreams...

Cheers!
