Hi all, new to the mini scene. Hubby and I are contemplating a mini as a project car, it's the only car we both have on our bucket lists! Just reading up on them as much as possible, no real preference yet on models. Something tells me we're going to need a his and hers!

Hi all,

Recently my dad retired and I'm hoping to help him with a mild Mini. I bought a copy of Vizard's book when it 1st came out in the 80's, but after reading the Russell Engineering page and every post here by GR, it looks like porting has moved onwards a fair degree. Any other things I should read here and elsewhere by people in the know?

I really likes the looks of 68mm 1100 with the RE SU manifold. Would love to see part 5 of Project 68mm.

If anyone is interested, the car a spent my youth on was a early Volvo 142S with the old pushrod B20B.

Tubby.

Hi there, Darren of Coffs Harbour here,

Am currently hunting for a manual mini whether local or from Japan but hoping to get my hands on one soon. Have a best mate who spent years with Minis before defecting to Subaru so have always wanted one having driven his.

Have plenty of questions so will be interrogating the forum. Hopefully I will not be asking questions that get the 'use the search button' response....

Hi all!

Recently joined, have been lurking and sending PMs to a couple people so thought best to be polite and introduce myself!

Family history has meant I have always had a special place in my heart for little Minis. Luckily, very recently a very special Mini has come into my family! Gorgeous early 1960's car, currently very much so in need of some TLC.... including a lot of body work, repainting, chrome work, engine work, gearbox work, interior work.... So a bit to consider! Currently trying to research who is out there that can do this stuff for us (luckily we're relatively close to Sydney!), can't wait to start seeing things happen- this will be an even more special car once it is on the road.

Thanks! : )

Hi All,

In a recent fit of enthusiasm I've invested in a 74 Clubman, rust seems to be the biggest issue so I can see a lot of welding and sanding in the future.
No doubt I'll be seeking the collective wisdom on here from time to time :D

Thanks
Nick.

Hi there Morris76, welcome to the forum. Great little car to get your teeth into. Do you have a few photos and if you started a new seperate blog, we can all see your progress.

Hi senator, looking forward to seeing your progress on the deluxe. Looks like you have come a long way with the body. Looks like you have the rust beat.
