Hello. Dug a mark1 out of a shed on Thursday. It was a hard days work but very cool. White with red interior. I dig the combo. Maybe not the work to restore. She was owned for 40 odd years by a fellow who started to restore but never finished. Body and interior are great, sadly missing some bits but doesn't matter just yet cause I got it :D Thanks

I love seeing old barnfinds being saved. Is that a 1968?

Morning all,

Brisbane Northsider originally from Adelaide., getting back into mini's again after an on-off relationship due to 'life' over the lest 25 years having owned a variety of 850's and deluxe's.

Heading out this weekend to look at an LS of 77 vintage for something to tinker with. From what I can see the chassis (rad support) and compliance plate numbers line up, still to verify the engine number when I get it to see if it is matching numbers.

I see there is an engine no prefix for that model, however is there any way to find out whether it is a matching numbers vehicle once I have that number? I have used - this guide (clicky) - as a source.

If it all comes off, if a matching numbers car = mod-resto, if a non-matching car then mod-mod-mod!!!

(PS, work in the same building as Mr Coates (low n blown???) used to in New Farm before they moved their operations a few weeks ago...)

Anyway - that's about it for now, good to be back into the fold.

Cheers, Dave

Hi All
Paul here. I'm from the Hawkesbury in NW Sydney
I've been lurking and asking questions for a while but never did the intro.
I've had a few minis over the years , the first being my grannys green clubman ,
then 2x silver LS1275's and finally a Kelp Beige MK1 Cooper S.
Currently I've got a 1973 GTR XU1 which Ive had since 1985.

I'm really keen on getting back into a Cooper S. I'd prefer a MK2 this time
I've looked at a few over the last few months , but nothing yet.
So , if you hear of any good MK2's for sale , give me a yell.
Here's a pic of my MK1 from about 20 years ago.

I'd be happy with a MK2 for anything in that price range
Maybe I'll have to put out a spotters fee...

Hi
My name's Devon and I'm from WA. I'm 19 and have got a 1978 Clubman named Oliver. Been slowly doing bits and pieces to it as it's my daily driver
