I am considering keeping a build post on here, is that something you guys like?

Welcome aboard Luke. Lot's of like-minded Mini nuts over your side of the continent so you have plenty of knowledge at hand.

Definitely start a build thread. It has the advantage of encouraging others to do some work on their car once they see what's involved. It also allows people to provide relevant comment and suggestions to you as you go.

Use the Members Mini Gallery for this - viewforum.php?f=3

You've worked out how to post images so that's a good start.

As mentioned above I suggest you post a pic of the ADR compliance plate and engine number as this will help identify the model and other aspects of your car.

So hears the build plate and engine number.
Was a surprise to find out it was a '78 (I was told it was a '74).
What else can you guys tell me about it?

Hi all

Just bought my first Mini - 1966 Morris Mini Deluxe but with a (genuine) Cooper S engine from Aus Mini Sport, fitteld last year. Luckily for me previous owners have lavished large amunts of time and money on her :). Took her straihght to Mini & Mike World and she's been given a thumbs up. A few niggly details to amend / fix over the nexy few years - some of which they've done immediately.

Anyway. Hilarious.

Well done. Nice looking car, although the dog doesn't seem too keen on the new addition to the household. :)

Welcome Mia...we were all new once! If you have a Mini already, start your own thread for it...that helps to keep answers together etc...Cheers, Mick

Hi there Ausmini forum members!

My name is Bob (username viperrwk) and I am located in Connecticut in the USA. I recently joined the forum as I have a 1969 Australian Morris Mini Cooper S Mk II that I am in the process of restoring. I will post a separate thread that will discuss my vehicle and what I'm doing with it.

Cheers!

Hi all,
I’m Paul and based in Melbourne. I’ve recently bought my third Mini - a K1100. The first two I owned in the UK, a 1978 Clubman I had at Uni and a black Mini 30 in the mid 90s.
Happy to get my hands on another.

Cheers.

Welcome Tom,

Some packs of ziplock bags and a felt pen will help you get the smaller bits back in the right spot. There are various nuts, bolts, washers and screws in the Mini that are subtly different.

Hey Guys,

Been hanging out on here for the last month or so just reading up on the world of mini’s. Thought it was about time I said hey!

I’m based in Canberra and about to pull the trigger on my first mini purchase (ridiculously excited would be an understatement!). I’m sure I’ll have a heap of questions for the build so will start a thread when the time comes.

Cheers,
Charlie
