Hi all,

Anthony here. My user name gives away one of my cars, HistoricRacingS.
A few of you may have seen me race my red and black Austin Cooper S in Historic Touring cars at Phillip Island etc. #38.

I also have a 997 Cooper I'm restoring (over too many years) and I'm helping my father restore one of the last Australian 998 Coopers. We also have a couple of Clubmans and a Morris 1100S in various states of disrepair.

Also own a 1959 Borgward Isabella Coupe, some of you may know what that is!

Great to see the Australian board coming along. It certainly is filling a void.

Top piccie, great to see a mini up in front. I might be a holden fan, but seeing a Mini in front of a couple GTR XU1's is pretty damn cool :-)

Keep up the great work

Oh yeah, the Isabella coupe is a big hunk of a car. More style than performance, when they used to do EVERYTHING big. Hope it comes up well mate, would have to be pretty unique in OZ.

Hey all,

I'm Gavin from Perth.

Currently in the planning stages of doing up my 1970 Mini K, so will probably be posting a few questions on the forums.

Previously owned a 196x mini hatchet job which I had to sell to afford my (now) wifes engagement ring.

Great site, hope I can add as much good stuff as I will be getting out of it...

cheers

Hi,

I'm Jodie (jedi665), a guy (so none of the "isn't that a sheila's name?" B/S thankyou very muchly  ).

Currently re-building a 1966 Deluxe (my 4th Mini), and hopefully this one will be a keeper. My 3 y.o. daughter has already claimed it...

Living in Melbourne CBD, so the car is at my wifes grandparents place in Kerang, so unfortunately progress is not as quick as I'd hope....

Post subject:  3 y.o. Mini fanatic

Too true.

She saw a t-shirt with a Mini on it, and cried until she got it...

She's daddy's girl alright, true princess, but fell asleep in her mothers arms sitting on my Ducati (1977) while it was warming up when she was around 6 months old.

(What is it with me and old toys???? )

I'll post some photo's of my 2 little "Mini Mechanics", Imogen (3 y.o.) & Isabeau (2y.o.) when I learn how.

Post subject:  Hello fellow mini enthusiasts

Hi Everyone

I'm Pete, from Brissy.

I have a blue 76 leyland mini S with a mild 1310 in it. My dad and i bought it when i was in grade 12 (1999) and fixed it up for a few years. it needs a little more work now to fix some rust that wasn't killed properly the first time... restoring your first car is a steep learning curve. :D

Hi Makka,

It was an 860GTS, had clip-ons instead of the original "bars, and the 2-into-1 Gianelli racing exhaust.

The RTA didn"t pick up the "FOR COMPETITION ONLY" stamped in Italian on the silencer when I got it rego"d, so I left it on.
