The Today Show was giving away a Bini and i entered the competition.

for 6 days i was wondering if i won it what would i do with it. a new car of some sort would be nice to ride around in, fast, powerful... but it wasnt ethical to get a new one. i could sell it and give the $$ to mum and dad,
and finally if i were to win it id sell it for $35K, and buy myself a real mini cooper S and give the rest to mum and dad.
i had found the perfect solution for the bini coz i didnt want it

Ms Deron won the car, i didnt.
bet she was gonna drive it around in airconditioned air and silence letting it depreciate without appreciation ... of the real thing

Howdy, Its Brad (Hanra) way up in Cairns Nrth Qld. Own a 1967 originally a Mini Matic now a mock up Mk1 Cooper S. Full bare shell resto over 4 years, owned the car 8 years, i have rebuilt it twice 1st build in 96 was over 2 years.

1330 cc Hypatec pistons/rings Russel Engineering ported/polished/flowed cylinder head. Twin 1/14 su's. 4 speed 4 syncro, KAD quickshift. Fully powder coated and adjustable suspension, height/camber/castor. Sparco Sprint Racing Seats. The list goes on and on.

Is used as a weekender, yes it is driven!!! Was featured in November Issue of Queensland Streetcar Magazine. Been in 1 car show and picked up Top British.

Hopefully can post some photos up at some stage.

oh no
not another molested matic!
my matic's previous owner was about to sell it to another guy knowing it'd be changed over (quite easily) to a cooper for quite a hefty price
his conscience turned over and he didnt sell it... sold it to me for a modest price knowing itd be taken care of

if the matic had no hope then i guess it couldve had a new lease on life...
minis deserve to go over 45mph sometimes
would love to see the molested matic (light hearted)
