Just a quick question, but does your register been reconciled with the one Watto has?

Simple answer is yes. The registers you see are combinations of several registers that were being maintained by various individuals, including the one called Watto's register. There may be further historians with their own list of cars that aren't represented yet. Obviously the more cars on the register the better it is for the many enthusiasts of the Australian built Cooper, Cooper S and Clubman GT.

Thanks winabbey. The reason I asked was that I provided details of my car some time ago for Watto's register but is not appearing on your lists. So here we go.

Vin number: YG2S41769
Engine number: 9FXEY54792

Apart from the above details I can't tell you much more. There is no built date or colour on compliance place but I believe from talking to the previous owner that it was white (now red) with black interior. Hope that helps. See ya.

What happened to the build date on the compliance plate? Is it damaged/unreadable?

Thanks belldane, will add your car's details. Don't know how it missed out.

ADR Compliance plates from that era (March/April 1970) had the delivery date in the form mm/yy, so 3/70 or 4/70. There won't be any colour information on the plate as this was conveyed via a separate paint label on the firewall. Are you sure the delivery date is not mentioned? If not I'd love to see a picture of your plate as it is out of the ordinary.

Edit: gtogreen1969 beat me to it re the build date.

1750's are March. 1770's are Apr. Toss a coin.

I will get the car out of the shed in the next couple of days into the sunlight and have another look.

That's a relief.

Thanks, I'll add it.
