Hi i'm looking for a cooper s, i found this one on the net i'm not to sure if it a real cooper s. The numbers are Type YKG2S2 Car no:4637, Engine no:9F/SA/Y46206 but on the engine block its 9F/SA/Y43582 so i think its a replacement and the colour is 1/Burgundy red/toga white/3. Any help would be great thanks

That car has had its ID plate replaced and restamped. The ID plate is not a requirement for registration purposes but whenever this occurs you have to ask if the plate was restamped with the same details it was issued with from the factory or if the numbers have been changed to suit the owner. eg Engine number changes, Colour changes, or chassis number change.
I have not seen this car in person to confirm its an S but there are a lot of questions that need answering. There are also a lot of parts that missing or not for this model fitted to it.
Please have an expert look at this car before purchasing it.

YKG2S2 4637 has been for sale for a while. http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/detai ... -12614130/

A member on here called murray was asking about it back in January.

Here is a link to when it was for sale back in 2012. https://www.facebook.com/ShabbyShaun/po ... 5022584318

Then it was for sale on Car Sales for $30000 in January this year before the Healey shop listed it.

It could be that it is made up of a mixture of Mk1 and Mk2 parts, there are some parts missing or incorrect parts fitted. And the ID plate looking a bit odd.
