I have never seen that other shape one on a Mini. However it is a Hardy Spicer standard design, off another car I believe. Trivia- the spline inside an S yoke is the same as in the tail shaft u/J of a 1930 Austin Seven. |

Thanks guys. The 1300 ones look a bit beefier on first inspection. I'll have a closer look to confirm all the critical dimensions are the same including the boss length that Matt mentioned, but will probably look to sell both sets as I'll be using pot joints. |

Long shot on old thread but can anyone confirm that these morris 1300 hardy spicers are ok to use on mini? I have a set and am about to put a new engine in that came with them. The part number on the side is F1800R. (Bulkier with circlip on the inside not outside) cheers rick |

Thanks to Mat the mini man for info on these. What a great guy keen to share his info with all. These 1100 hardy spicers are too long to fit in a mini. They will bolt up but you need to cut too much of the driveshafts to negate bottom out inside the slip joint. Doesn't leave enough usable spline. |
