Hi everyone, quick question... im looking at a project which is badged as LS, has extra two switched on dash like LS, lights in grill, but a vinyl slide sunroof. Is a 998 with drums. Did any models come out with vinyl sliding sunroof, or is this after market?

It has an early clubman door card (71-71)
Has 1 1/4 Su. The LS had 1 1/2.
Colour could be hairy lime green (early model colour)

Has later model pedals (The Diamond type) which match the radio and lights in the grill and blue polkadot trim.
LS steering wheel

Looks to be a bit of a bitsa to me.

Compliance plate details will tell you more

I do notice a blue colour behind one of the door cards though, and a hint of blue behind engine in engine bay, previous colour maybe?

I would say it is a unique model by the look of the very rare foot warmer radiator.

It looks like the compliance plate is on the car and the original paint sticker as well. Provided the numbers on the body (radiator shroud) match those on the plate then the plate will have all the info you need.

Certainly not a Sunshine. The sunshine roof was tinted glass (or was it Perspex?) with a wind deflector at the front and was vacuum sealed onto metal runners. The sunroof on that car appears to be a Webasto or similar after-market job.

If you can provide the chassis number prefix we will be able to tell you a lot more - a photo of the plate, the colour sticker and of the rad shroud would be best.
