no, temperature won't cause that - maybe running lean or the coil is starting to die |

You could try pulling the choke out a little...if improves it is running lean for some reason. |

GuamMini wrote: You guys could be right it has to be something with the fuel. I don't know if water could get into the tank, but I will check when I filled it up with more fuel it seems like it got worst. It has a brand new ignition coil. Water could definitely get into the Fuel Depots tanks though...either dump it and start again or try dosing the tank with say a pint of Methylated Spirits |

what fuel did you put in? I am in Thailand at the moment and "gasahol" is frequently labeled as 95 Ron but is a blend of ethanol and petrol. if you've put a fuel blended with ethanol in it then you will need to adjust the mixture as ethanol has less energy density than petrol. I'd say drain the tank, should be a tap that you can reach underneath the tank. |

BP are in the US (Or were until they had an issue in the Gulf of Mexico !) They bought Amoco and run refineries and other assets in Texas and elsewhere |

Go for an electronic dissy with adaptive dwell. The coil runs cooler. No condenser issues. No points bounce. |

There are not to many to pick from if you go for a drop in unit and keep your dissy. Accuspark or powerspark come to mind if your on a budget. Or go for whole new electronic dissy. Plenty on ebay for $140. Does your current dissy have vacuum advance and a top entry cap? You probably have a 29D if original. I think a 45D is the replacement for a vacuum dissy. 43D for non vacuum. |
