Can someone tell me if the round nose door skin is the exact same shape as the clubby, except for the door handle hole? Reason, cut clubby door handle hole out and weld into new door skin.

Some years ago I successfully converted a Clubman door to the early style by cutting out the door latch mechanism and welding in the earlier type as it was the only door I could locate at the time.

Just had a visual of the two side by side.
The door skins look the same, except for the door handle holes.

Just checked with John Smidt, and he has used the round nose skin on a clubby door. Just had to cut the clubby door handle hole into the round nose door skin. I'll just have to give it a try.
