Fitted a New GR Manifold to my mini today, tried both HIF44 and HS6 both cleared
without any problems and room to fit an K&N offset air filter or ramtube, the difference over the twin 1 1/4 Su's was mind blowing, could not believe the difference in power and acceleration.
Seems like it's a completely different Car.
here are some pics HS6 is on a mates car HIF is on mine . Very Happy :D
A HUGE THANKYOU TO GRAHAM RUSSELL

With a Minispares C-AHT770 manifold my HIF44 fits with enough room for the K&N semi-conical filter to fit forward of the firewall blanket.
Just love my setup.

Hi David
Yes the Mini Spares does fit with more room and I tell a lot of people to fit them, but I now have had them CNC machined and they fit a lot better plus they are a lot cheaper than mine, now if you want performance my manifold will run rings around any other manifold on the market, and the more the motor is modified the more HP they will make over the other manifolds so it depends what you want go or show and yes you can still fit the mat in you just have to do bit of fiddle :D

I have a ex-Matic with the GR manifold and HS6. I had too machine the manifold faces at the head and carb as well as modifying the firewall to gain enough room, even then I still can't use the choke.

What kind of engine stabilisers does the above HS6 use?

How does an SU on this GR manifold compare with his Weber 44 IDF conversion? Both seem to have air cleaner clearance issues. I imagine the Weber produces more constant torque throughout the rev range but the SU may match it at lower revs and is more economical?
