Are the demister vent tubes to suit a Mk2 Cooper S plastic heater available as a reproduction anywhere? If so how exact are they to the original?

Or if not available would anybody know where to source some good second hand ones from or are they rare as hens teeth... :(

I may have some in a box somewhere in the shed. I saw 3 of them a few years ago. Are they a convoluted plastic about 40mm diameter?

I believe the original mk1 are fibre/foil and mk2 onwards was plastic, not sure but assume the rover fit just the same.

Strange how the mk2 got plastic and the clubman GT went back to the cardboard and aluminium tubing.

Mk2 2 is very similar to household vacuume pipe isn't it?

not on my 7/70 car... I'm 99.99% sure mine is original and it's paper/foil

Ok. Makes sense now. Thanks.

Now to find kopex in the correct diameter.

The tubing is still available if you search hard enough.

Thanks guys for your knowledgeable input. Really appreciated!

The year of my MK2 is the same as Simons- 7/70 so it would appear to be the black paper/inner foil type?

Thanks Brad, if you have this type or anyone, id be interested in them if there in good nick but hearing there construction it may be hard to find an intact good set?

Bubbacluby- Is Kopex the brand name or product name of this black paper/inner foil type tubing?

Here are a few photos of the ones i have. They must be later leyland ones. I have never really taken any notice of the ducting before. Out of sight out of mind. ImageImage

wooo.... looks a lot like this: https://www.aasesales.com/products/g2e-s54-8i-103189

$10 a piece would be worth having a look - though 55mm might be too big, need to measure
