Copper antiseize is fine for steel parts except exhaust joints that get real hot. However it should not be used on aluminium I read somewhere.
Some of the hydro pistons are diecast alloy.
I now use the nickel one for everything because a mate gave me a whole tubful. ;)

Materials at hand, when the price is right!

I was just getting a new exhaust put onto my mx5 and the people there were using the copper based stuff on the nuts/ bolts and swore by it.

I'll get some nickel based anti seize for this and hopefully other projects..

I used the copper one on the maniflow lcb y- piece a while ago. Couldn't get it apart after 8 years, had to use angle grinder then a die grinder. And weld a short bit of pipe back on.
As it gets near red hot down there, I recommend use the nickel one.
Edit re the post above this, copper one is fine for nuts and bolts. Just not the pipes...

Anything with Loctite written on it seems to work well for me.

Spoke to a "tech person" at Rocol.
Copper is OK for low heat - threads etc
Nickel best for high temp including exhaust pipe joints (esp. with catalytic converters)
Aluminium -or Silver - for aluminium parts (very low temp range)
Some Copper anti seize with graphite and molybdenum disulphide added which improves their anti seize to higher temperatures including exhaust pipe joints without cat converters.
It isn't just the brand name - it's what it has been designed to do.
Too many choices.....
