I was thinking yesterday about what you could buy if you won the lottery and decided to buy a couple of minis to cover Australian Mini production... What if you decided to buy one from each year of production to get a good spread of cars and trim levels. Here is the first draft, any suggestions on what you'd swap in or out? :P

1961 - 850
1962 - 997 Cooper
1963 - 998 Cooper
1964 - 850 Van
1965 - Deluxe
1966 - Moke
1967 - Cooper S Mk1
1968 - Minimatic
1969 - Mini K
1970 - Cooper S Mk2
1971 - Clubman 1100
1972 - GT
1973 - Export Moke
1974 - Mini S
1975 - Van
1976 - Mini SS
1977 - Sunshine
1978 - 1275LS
1982 - Californian

I agree with Simon. That's a really interesting list. We did pretty well considering we are a 'colony' of the U.K.

Need to fit an SPO41 Cooper S in for 1970 or 71 as they are effectively a different model.

What a great ambition. Don't forget the man's shed big enough to store them and maybe a hoist.

Of course, although I suppose it depends on the criteria you use in compiling the list. You could confine it to just those models that came off a BMC or Leyland Australia assembly line, or expand it to include Dealer and other specials, such as the Sports 850, Broadspeed, etc.

I think that's a separate list... I'm planning on winning enough money that I can have 3 or 4 lists...

Thanks all, I was thinking this is list number one for Australian Factory cars.. I'm sure you could make another couple of lists:
Australian special models (Sports 850, Broadspeed, Monaco etc)
UK Factory models (Cooper S 1071, Traveller, Rover Sportspack etc)
UK Special models and mini kit cars (too many to list)
Global cars (Innocenti Cooper etc)

I do not need to win the lottery, I have the 3 cars that I have always wanted.

Early little wheel moke, a mini sedan, and a mini pickup.

I would just enjoy the winnings.

Personally I would want 1 of each body shape, wouldn't be fussy about years.

sooo

1. Mini S (aka the clubman shape)
2. 1275 GT
3. Round Nose
4. Late Jap Round nose
5. Broadspeed
6. Marcos
7. Moke
8. Ute
9. Van/estate.
