 Post subject: mini van fuel tank

Hi does a mini van have a special pipe from the tank to the electric fuel pump. My buddys van has just been put back together after mini years and arrived as a kit set. Pump works if we use a jerry can. New to vans ta Kiwinwgtn

Edit does it also have an internal filter pick up of some sort inside the tank

There would be a strainer on pickup pipe probably. May be blocked?
Take gauge sender out for a look.
