Hi everyone, I have an 1100 motor I won't to get going but I have no carby for it. I was wondering weather one from a Nissan a14 engine would work. I know I would need a custom manifold which for me would be the easier part as I'm a fabricator by trade. But would it work? They seem pretty cheap on ebay for a complete new unit and I've had good experience so far using these cheap Chinese ebay parts on my ute. Are there any other parts that you could buy new and retro fit to a mini a series motor? Cheers Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk |

no reason why it won't work - and you'll get an accelerator pump which is a good thing - if you can make your own manifold, go for it... |

How do you go getting jets, it's likely to need different ones on a Mini 1100. I guess you could drill them out, but they are unlikely to be same as a Weber or whatever. |

Thanks for the replys. I guess there is no way of knowing what size jets it would need until it's running? But I'll have a look Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk |

That looks very similar to the Hitachi carb that was fitted to my 70's Mazda. I'm not sure how well you could tune it to work on a different engine, from memory there wasn't a huge amount of adjustment. |
