Mark the dizzy base in line with #1 plug lead. Remove cap. Then with piston #1 at TDC, turn dizzy body until rotor points to the mark.
You will then need a timing light to set timing once running. If you don't have one, I recommend a dial back type.
Ignore static timing. Remove vac advance line. Set it at 30deg BTDC @ 3500 or whatever the advance has maxed out at. Timing light has a tacho display.
If it pings at all, retard 1 deg at a time until it doesn't.
