meaning my bum is close to the floor. Minisport in Adelaide sell the rubber type and also an all spring type. Has anybody had experience with either of these replacement types and any comments they may have?
I'm a bit leary of anything rubber these days.....

Thanks

I've swapped one of mine to the spring type, very easy to swap and it'll never break like the rubber ones do. You will need to add a layer of hessian or something similar between the wires and the foam to stop the wire cutting through.

Yeah the rubber ones now days are nothing on the quality of the originals. In fact if I was given a choice of an original rubber one that had been in a passenger seat and a brand new rubber one I would take the original. The original would probably last another 30 years in the drivers seat. I had a new rubber one once that didn’t even last a year and it was in the passenger seat!!!!
