I am thinking of renewing my fluid.

Has any tried this product from Mini Kingdom On Line and what were your thoughts.

How much fluid do I need to buy to do both sides?

The MKO fluid is made by the same people and to the same recipe as BMC/Leyland Australia used on the assembly line. I think you would need a litre to do both sides.

It comes in a one litre plastic container now, not the tin pictured on the website.

My manual says 4 pints or 2.27 litres in total. I purchased 2 of these in plastic bottles from MKO. Looking at the fluid you would think it is just castrol green coolant. My car had one side down a little due to a small leak over the past 11 years. I was only going to use one bottle but glad I bought 2. With all the pumping up and down and getting rid of some old fluid i almost used the 2 litres on one side.

I use Nylon coolant. No issues. Same stuff.

I use Nulon glycol green concentrate and demineralized water, 50/50.

Does it smell of alcohol?

I have done a 50/50 glycol/water mix as recommended on a lot of forums, the old fluid that came out smelt very strongly of alcohol (It was probably the original fluid from when the car was new).

No i couldn't smell any alcohol. It just looks, smells and feels like green coolant. The reason why i originally went with it and not make my own was because i wanted something as close as possible to the original stuff so it would mix with my old stuff. But i ended dropping all the old stuff out anyway so it didn't really matter.
