Hey all,
I'm trying to check the points of my distributor and I am having issues. Based off the cap and the clips, I was under the impression that it was a Lucas 45D. However, after following the instructions of a friend to try and get to the breaker points, it seems that either I am not doing it right, or the distributor is missing a large portion of it's circuitry (would certainly explain the lack of spark). I have had a look at multiple diagrams and images of the 45D and I can't find a convincingly similar looking image to what I am seeing.
Here is an
albumwith 2 images of the distributor: The first image, I have only removed the cap. Second image, I removed the rotor and moved the plate just below the rotor out of the way to show what is below it.
Do these look right to anyone else? From what I am gathering from diagrams, the condensor and points should all be on the same plate as the rotor, but there's nothing except that small black box (which also didn't move easily so I didn't force it off).
Thanks
