In 1972, Wheels magazine test drove a Clubman GT for an extended road test and wrote up their experiences over a number of issues.
The current owners of Wheels have set up an index of articles each issue.
Unfortunately they don't have every month digitised - maybe you have to pay for that.

I read these articles at the time and they prompted me to buy Hella Quartz-Halogen headlight inserts and ROH Contesta alloy wheels for my mini!
And they say advertising doesn't work....

I read them too, then went out and put a Webasto sunroof, Clubman tail lights and Clubman dash and heater into my MK 2 Cooper S (as one tended to do these sort of things in the early 70s). They're all still in there.

Clubby taillights must have been all the rage back then. This 1970 ex police S was wearing them in 1974.
