Seven years ago Mick posted a great "how to build hydro pump " using a bulk grease pot. He used a Schrader coupler to attach the delivery pipe to the Schrader valve.
I went to use my copy of his pump to day for the first time and realized it is impossible to screw this Schrader coupler to the valve on the rear sub frame. That's because the inlet to the valve is at right angles and therefore needs clearance to the sub frame to be able to screw it on.
Can anybody who has used this connector tell me how you fitted it to the valve?

If you look at the Chuck I have used, identical to this one, you will notice that the brass nut turns. This means you only need a spanner to screw it on to the right angle Schraeder valve.

I dont even use a spanner. I spin the nut up finger tight and the last 1/8th turn i get by turning the entire chuck assembly.

I had no idea that the nut turned.

I had drawn up a small brass block with male and female connectors so that I could turn the Schrader valve around 90 deg and have it poking out the back
