I use this to do my front and rear toe, gave the same answers as the sheet printed out by the wheel alignment bloke

the strings don't have to be parallel with the car, as long as the strings are parallel to each other

Did the rear alignment today. Modified the rear brackets after taking some measurements of how far the hole needed to move and milled it out. The hole on both came u 6mm to put the camber to about -1 degree and to the rear about 1.5mm to give it not so much toe in as it had. The car looks nice sitting with some negative camber now. Will confirm what it’s actually at when I get the alignment done.

Couldn't that be dangerous?

How?
If it's the slotted hole you refer to, that picture isn't the final setup, there's a heavy washer to be welded in place so it can't move anywhere. It's fixed the geometry up nice and no chance of moving unike the adjustable brackets you can buy.
