scary as f*ck that one... I didn't know which gears to lock together the first time I did it, so picked 2nd and 3rd... crack... 1st and 4th everyone, 1st and 4th

Pretty sure all the books say lock 1st & 4th

There is a warning on Mini Spares website that some Haynes (mostly UK) manuals quote locking 2 and 4 and should be 1 and 4 as above.
I usually use a 6 foot pry bar and a friend to hold the box down.

This is getting personal Golden boy reckons im obese too .Was a good trip this morning until I was picked on while driving :)

I noticed that the vanny the right hand corners was better maybe sumthin with the weight distribution left handers there wasn't enough lock :lol:

Some of those hairpins were bloody scarey but worth it all to get a virgin 1100s block.
I will leave it sit for when my stroker craps itself
