Hi Folks, I want to make four of these to wash out and store some hydro bags. http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=96692

Anyone know where to get the parts? I am a bit stumped.

Matty - after your PM today I remembered that I got an hydraulic fitting and hose from Bunnings for the simple hydro system evacuation set-up I mentioned in this thread.

Bunnings have quite a range of inexpensive hydraulic fittings and hose in the Tools section that you could check. I don't know the exact size and thread type of the fittings in the How To you referenced.

Enzed and Pirtek outlets would definitely have the fittings if you know what to ask for.

Here's a picture of the barbed hose end fitting I purchased and screwed into a tyre inflater valve. Note the package says maximum working pressure is 150 psi, which should be adequate for your purposes.

According to this extract from the hydrolastic displacer engineering drawing below the hose end fitting is 5/8" UNF 18 tpi. If you took a hydro bag with hose to Pirtek or Enzed they could no doubt give you a suitable barbed fitting which would attach to some 10mm hydraulic hose, like this.

You then need to figure out a way to attach the tyre valve to the other end.

Thanks for that. That will help pumping but that adapter they made on Mk1 forum allows you to leave it attached to the end of the hydro hose under pressure when it is off the car as well. I will try Bunnings and pertek.

Probably didn't explain myself clearly, but I was suggesting using a short piece of hydraulic hose as a simple way to connect the displacer hose fitting to the tyre valve fitting rather than trying to match various sized fittings. I just showed the evacuation hose I made as an example of the barbed fitting.
