Hi everyone,
Can any body remember who was selling the complete preformed oil pressure guage pipe, reinforced rubber hose & clamps on e bay recently? - I was watching the item for months when I didn't need it, but now that I do, I can't find it any more.
I reckon it was "minimakeovers" or some one like that.
Thanks in advance,
Ian.

How come you need one Ian , is it because yours is damaged or broken ?

Reason i ask is i snapped the pipe at the "P"clamp on the side of the block once and repaired it by cutting a piece of brake pipe and sleeving it over the pipe and soldering it  .

You don't see them popping up for sale too often .

You can still buy them new. Not cheap and the hose is cheapo compared to the original. Its only 7mm and the $10 ea clamps hardly hold it.
I bought a hose and clamps recently.

The original hose was similar to a Mini hydraulic brake hose. Much thicker.

I remember seeing it for over 12 months on ebay. Now you need it the listing is gone. Good luck with the search. I will keep an eye out.

I bought some 1/8" USA made fuel vent hose today, it is much thicker and reinforced.
At $5 a metre it's heaps cheaper too. And over 8mm thick so will clamp better. :)

Can't use brake hose, its allergic to motor oil the brake shop says.

For the metal pipe, I remade one with the old ends soldered on, but using copper tubing, which is fairly soft and easily damaged. I think the original was made from steel tubing, but it I couldn't find any in that diameter.

Actually, I believe it was copper plated steel tubing.

This one looks like steel to me.
