Hi Guys
I broke down in the mini about a month ago as i blew the diff and had to get the car towed back cost about $200 for 6 km away from home. Is there a insurance company that will cover for towing for an old mini as i have tried with a few and they dont cover old cars apart from shannons, anyone know of another mob to go to.

Pretty sure NRMA (depending on where you are of course:) will sell you Road Side Assist that includes towing for pretty much any vehicle. I used to have my Mini covered but it's been a few years since I had an issue.

I think you get something like 20 km free then a few bucks a km (I live in the country) for the basic fee. You can pay more for a higher level of support....

Cheers, Ian

As they are rolling out towing dollies for all patrol vehicles, it should be less of a problem that hitherto.
