Hi All,
I’m a tall bloke and am finding working on the mini on jack stands tiresome so I want to build a dolly to put the mini k she’ll on for resto.
I know how it can be annoying to post a topic that has already been covered before but I have searched the site and can’t find anything.
Just wondering if anyone has made a dolly for their resto and what size wall thickness on the steel box they used?
Bman

If you can get an old hospital bed mine sat on one of those with the engine and subframes for quite a while, they are very strong and height adjustable within a limited range, if there's some going you probably won't find a cheaper or easier way to do it.

That’s what I’m talking about!!!
Are those uprights bolted into existing captive nuts in the floor pan?? Both front and rear?

Yes - seemed like the easiest way to secure it

I know some people have used pallets with caster wheels as a cheap dolly. If you want it higher just stack more pallets on it.
I made a square frame to sit under the floor pan with hight adjustable legs (like a jack stand) with castor wheels on the bottoms. The open square frame was so I could still access the floor pan.

We did the same as Kenno but with fixed legs. 4 swivel castors.

I made a wooden one

Not as much under-car access as I didn't lift it off the ground like the metal ones posted here.

Shell's about to be put on a spit, yo.
