Hi All, I’m a tall bloke and am finding working on the mini on jack stands tiresome so I want to build a dolly to put the mini k she’ll on for resto. I know how it can be annoying to post a topic that has already been covered before but I have searched the site and can’t find anything. Just wondering if anyone has made a dolly for their resto and what size wall thickness on the steel box they used? Bman |

If you can get an old hospital bed mine sat on one of those with the engine and subframes for quite a while, they are very strong and height adjustable within a limited range, if there's some going you probably won't find a cheaper or easier way to do it. |

I know some people have used pallets with caster wheels as a cheap dolly. If you want it higher just stack more pallets on it. I made a square frame to sit under the floor pan with hight adjustable legs (like a jack stand) with castor wheels on the bottoms. The open square frame was so I could still access the floor pan. |

We did the same as Kenno but with fixed legs. 4 swivel castors. |

I made a wooden one Not as much under-car access as I didn't lift it off the ground like the metal ones posted here. Shell's about to be put on a spit, yo. |
