Except for the wind it was a reasonably good day.......

Ive got a few shots i have to get devloped(not in digital though) :( but ill see what they come out like.

The VTEC really did look rather nuts but it lost out nonetheless :lol:

Was rather dissappointed with the 1275 turbo mini though :( ........altho after hearing it run it wasnt such a suprise :lol: . Thought it would of been a tad quicker though!

That turbo Mini was using a `suck thru' system- and it didn't sound right running in the pits..

Mate, I reckon mine would be a couple of secs faster.......
I spoke to the owner (Alan ?) and he really wasnt very sure about it....
The inlet manifold was a nice work of art, and the exhaust was almost as good, it had all the right elements (maybe a turbo one size too big) but just didnt go.....

The carb was a 1 3/4 " CDS Stromberg, probably would have been better with a 2" SU or a 45mm Weber ...

I've never like suck-through setups, they upset the air/fuel mix too much, centrifuging all the droplets into a nasty large mess......

A simple blow-through with a boxed weber would have been even better (you know, where the whole carb is placesd into a sealed box and boost pressure is fed into the box ? anyway......)
