Is there a particular UK dizzy I can use as a replacement for the Clubman GT. I would like a centrifugal advance like the original dizzy. Thanks

CSI-Ignition is a fully electronic ignition built in an original housing. You will have to remove the cap to see the difference!neg earth only

After removing the cap you can select between 16 different curves by using

a screwdriver. A bright flashing led light shows which curve you have selected.

Each CSI dizzy comes with 16 pre programmed maps, this one suitable for modified Pre A+ Mini Cooper S and other tuned engines.

Is this the one you were talking about?

Or a simpler one like this as long as the advance curve is suitable

How about this one?

23D4 LUCAS type distributor is fitted with the upgraded electronic ignition system, giving better reliability and a more consistent spark. This unit has no vacuum unit.

The Lucas 23D4 distributor was fitted to:

Mini Cooper S Mk III, Mini 1275 cc - Lucas number 40819
Mini Cooper S 970cc, 1071cc and 1275cc - Lucas number 40819A
Mini 1275cc Cooper 'S' & Mini Clubman GT - Lucas number 40819H
BMC Works Rally Mini Special distributor - Lucas number 40979A

What kind of HT leads works well? Thanks

Either a 23D or 45D will work. Just get one with a top entry cap to look right on a MK2 or GT.
Don't stress getting the original S advance curve, it doesn't work great with premium unleaded fuels. You lose torque.
Ideally you want a curve with 9-10deg centrifugal advance plate, advance all in by 3500 ENGINE rpm or 1750 DIZZY rpm. Set total advance to around 30deg BTDC @ 3500 up.

If the cap is a good condition genuine LUCAS branded one I'd probably use that.

I use an old Lucas one on my 25D and it's much better quality than the reproduction ones you can buy now.
