The spring on the slave cylinder is extremely hard to connect. Should I screw in the 1/4 bolt ? New clutch and slave cylinder have been fitted any ideas ? TY Allen

Yes. It is a little bugger... I have copied a friend's idea to reduce the tension in the spring as it doesn't need to be so strong. A short length of steel wire/rod (even a nail) bent at both ends to go between the spring end and triangle plate on the clutch arm. Just needs to have slight tension all the time.

Drop it in your toolbox and forget it was ever there... They don't need it and the clutch mechanism works better without.
