John Schmidt had these switches. There was a detail difference at the back for the electrical termination as they were also fitted to other models, but they are the same looking at the front of the switches.

I've been told those straight switches may break when bending them to suit the Mini. Has anyone tried?

I didn't have a problem in my 69. I use two of them.

I believe that the hole was not always in the same position (further up the door frame) and this caused problems.

I bent some years ago and had problems. So I fitted Rover switches.
OK OK it's not a Cooper S, but these have copper contacts so are a better switch. No bending required.

I managed to pick up a pair from a seller on Trademe in NZ recently. Just checked with him and he does not have any more bent ones. He has some original straight ones but don't know if that's any better than what MKO have. I do have one spare that would clean up ok if that's of help to you.
