Hi All,
Spent some time tonight with the old man stripping the front subframe from the mini k.
I want to convert the car from hydrolastic to dry suspension.
Anyone know how to get these out??

Give them a twist. They're just seated in there.

There is a bracket held in by two Phillips screws which have to be removed as well.

As Mick said they twist - anticlockwise - just like a bayonet light globe. I think the bracket has to come out first.
The displacer might need a light tap to break the rust.
I also remember wrapping something like an old fan felt around it held with vice-grips to get better grip.
If you don't damage them they should be worth something.

the bracket with screws is visible in the first photo - rustier than all of the gunk around it

don't throw the bags away, someone will appreciate them

Couple of love taps with a hammer. Loads of lannox and a counter clockwise turn and out they came!

Solid advice team.

Many thanks.
