Hi All, Have been rebuilding the steering rack and got so close last night to finishing it off but have been thwarted by shims, damper yoke and disc springs. I’ve reused all the shims that I took off as they apparently don’t make replacements any more. Trouble is, putting back on the shims that I took off it appears as though the damper yoke is pressing up too hard against the rack and stopping movement. Arrrrrgh! Can anyone help? Looks like thumb met hammer!!! Best left to the Dr for rack advice. |
