 Post subject: Ryco spin on oil filter

Hi all anyone know the part number for a ryco spin on oil filter on a 1275? Have a wix one on it but I'm unable to get one locally.

Z82 is mini
Z62 fits & is ford escort (a bit taller)
Z418 also fits ,,, & fits a pile of jap cars too (Vitara, Daihatsu etc)
& GFE443 also works

Maybe try a tractor parts place for the Wix filter. That's where I get mine from here in Canberra. Last Ryco one i purchased (couple of years ago) had metal shavings inside that came out when I tapped it into the palm of my hand. I have never used a Ryco filter since.

Thanks all for your help done the oil change today. Just have one question should the magnet on the sump plug be able to come out of the plug when wiping clean?

no... best not to. Maybe clean out the hole with a drill bit and araldite it back in
